How much time is required to learn to paint?
Some will work more quickly than others, but at a minimum, about 8 hours per week is needed. Painting can be done in a series of short 30 to 45 minute sessions, or longer depending on personal preference. The slow-drying painting medium used in The Carder Method allows the artist the flexibility to work for several weeks on the same painting. The total time it will take to finish your first painting is dependent on the size and complexity of the painting, but a simple still life will take on average about 3 to 4 weeks to finish.
