What's in the collection?
How about 400+ MB of multi-sampled sounds, patched into 128 patches each for Kontakt 2
& 3, and the Reason 4 NN-XT and Combinator? Though they share the same sample content,
each patch collection is different, since each sampler offers its own unique parameters
to tweak. Does that mean that the sounds are warped beyond recognition? Indeed not.
I have included each multi-sampled patch in an "almost raw" state. Why "almost raw"?
Simply because I employed a bit of velocity, glide, pitch and mod wheel control to
provide some performance enhancements. Additionally, there are a number of patches that
are built on the same samples but take advantage of each sampler's unique filtering and
effects to provide alternatives to some of the "almost raw" patches. These patches retain
the spirit and raw analog sound of the original instruments, while offering the
performance control and convenience of modern samplers.

So what if you have both Kontakt and Reason? Do you have to plump for both? Nope. If you
buy one, we'll send you the download link for that product. However, if you ask us, we'll
send you another link for the other collection, too (though be aware that you'll be
downloading two sets of samples, so be prepared to take your time). Heck, we'll even
provide the raw patches in SFZ format, should you so desire (though those patches are
lacking many of the performance features like portamento and effects). If you have any
other formats you'd like to see, just drop us a line and we'll see if we can accommodate
you.

In 1981 Columbia closed its doors and this piano was brought to Clinton. In addition to the grand two of the original Columbia Nuemann U49 microphones made the journey also. These were two of the five (or six) microphones originally used on the Kind of Blue date. We were fortunate enough to sample this special grand using these two original microphones....

- 51 MIDI piano loops
These loops are all original performances, un-quantised and exactly as played by the
artist, the perfect base on which to build your mix. Key signature info and tempo is in
the file name.
- 22 MIDI short piano pieces
These are complete short piano pieces that are not designed to loop. The performances
were played in real time and do not adhere to any strict tempo, although there is a
guide tempo included in the file name along with the key signature info.
All content is royalty-free and comes in MIDI format.
The Performer:
Steve Burton is a session keyboardist, songwriter and producer based in London. His work
has covered many genres, from R&B, House, Pop and Jazz, through to Film and Soundtrack.
He has featured on many great mixes by artists such as Whitney Houston, Janet Jackson,
Babyface, George Michael, Mary J Blige, Justin Timberlake, Seal Aretha Franklin,
Destiny's Child, and many more.
